What ~13,100 Public Hemp Product Reviews Reveal About Reported Effects
We used AI with live web search to analyze publicly posted customer reviews — from brand websites, retailer listings, and review platforms — for every active, COA-verified product listed on the Chow420 marketplace, measuring which effects those reviews report and which complaints come up most.
All percentages describe what reviews report, not product efficacy. Review counts and shares are AI estimates from publicly available sources — consumer-experience data, not medical evidence.
Most-reported effects in hemp product reviews
For each product, our AI research engine locates its publicly posted reviews and estimates the share of reviews mentioning each effect. The chart shows the mean share across all products where the effect appeared, ranked by how many products report it.
Most-reported complaints
The same review summaries also track downsides. These are the complaints public reviews mention most often:

Methodology
- Source data: publicly posted customer reviews located across the web — brand websites, retailer listings, and review platforms — for products listed on the Chow420 marketplace. Every included product is currently listed, seller-verified, and holds a current Certificate of Analysis (COA). Chow420 did not independently collect these reviews.
- Summarization: an AI research engine (LLM with live web search) reads each product's public review footprint and estimates the share of reviews mentioning each effect or complaint, plus the total review count and average rating (e.g., "an estimated 80% of this product's public reviews mention pain relief").
- Aggregation: we take the latest summary per product, canonicalize synonymous effect names (e.g., "relief from pain" = "pain relief"), and report the mean share across products, ranked by how many products the effect appears in. Effects appearing in fewer than 3 products are excluded.
- Refresh: figures regenerate from live marketplace data and are cached for 6 hours; the date above reflects the current build.
Limitations
- Review counts and percentages are AI estimates from publicly available web sources — not a first-party review database. Individual reviews were not independently collected or verified by Chow420.
- Review percentages describe what reviewers say, not clinical outcomes. No claim of efficacy is made or implied.
- Reviews are self-selected: buyers who feel strongly are likelier to write one.
- AI summarization can mislabel ambiguous review language or miscount sparse review footprints; canonicalization merges close synonyms but vocabularies evolve.
- The catalog skews toward formats popular on our marketplace, so format-level rows reflect Chow420's mix, not the whole industry.
